Cheers to a new year! After several series that have been made, here’s a fitting start for the new year. This new episode features my holiday vacation to Manila with Airphil Express. My flight should’ve been with Philippine Airlines departing at the New Iloilo Airport. I should’ve been able to feature the New Iloilo Airport one of the best airports in the Philippines. Unfortunately, there was a Typhoon that struck the southern part of the country which inevitably cancelled some flights in the area. Although Bacolod and Iloilo are just an island away, both areas where under the Typhoon Signal No. 1. I have no choice but to go away with my PAL flight from Iloilo, rearrange and book a flight departing from Bacolod since I need to fly on the very same day. This episode includes: 1. Check-in 2. Changes in the now Bacolod-Silay International Airport 3. Pre-departure Area 4. Boarding 5. Push-back and Take-off 6. Random In-flight Buys 7. Final Approach and Landing 8. Deplaning 9. Being upset in the Baggage Hall 10. Exiting NAIA Terminal 3 PHILIPPINE AIR TRAVEL – Anything that deals with Civil Aviation and Air Travel in the Philippines. This year Finnair celebrates 88 years of quality service and peace of mind in air travel with selected retro flights in the original Silver Bird theme. This is the retro flight to Hamburg on Finland’s Independce Day, December 6, 2011. Enjoy!
I saw this video within a chain e-mail I was sent. It shows a fascinating glimpse of air traffic across the earth during a 24 hour period. The yellow dots are airplanes in the sky. You can see the light of the day moving from the east to the west, as the Earth spins on its axis. Also you will see the aircraft flow of traffic leaving the North American continent and travelling at night to arrive in the UK in the morning. Then you will see the flow changing, leaving the UK in the morning and flying to the American continent in daylight. It is a 24 hour observation of all of the large aircraft flights in the world, condensed down to about 2 minutes. From space we look like a bee hive of activity.
